What are the types and principles of oil pumps for mining crushers?

There are two main types of oil pumps for mining crushers: gear type and rotor type, and their working principles and application characteristics are different.

‌Gear type oil pump‌:

Structural features: The gear type oil pump has a relatively simple structure, is easy to process, works reliably, has a long service life, and has a high pump oil pressure. It is divided into internal gear type and external gear type, the latter of which is generally called a gear type oil pump. This pump is widely used because of its simple structure, convenient processing, reliable operation, and high service life.

Working principle: The gear type oil pump works by meshing and rotating two gears, sucking the oil in from the suction end and sending it out from the discharge end after compression. Because the gear type oil pump has a simple structure and is easy to maintain, it is widely used in equipment such as internal combustion engines.

‌Rotor type oil pump‌:

Structural features: The rotor type oil pump has similar advantages to the gear pump, but has a more compact structure and a small size. The rotor of the rotor pump has a complex shape and is usually pressed using powder metallurgy. This pump is suitable for occasions that require a smaller volume and higher pressure.

Working principle: The rotor type oil pump achieves the suction and discharge of the oil through the rotation of the rotor. Compared with gear pumps, rotor pumps are more complex in structure, but offer similar advantages, including higher working efficiency and longer service life.

Both types of oil pumps are used in lubrication systems. Their main function is to increase the oil to a certain pressure and force it to the moving surfaces of various parts of the engine to ensure the normal operation of the machine and extend its service life.
