What is the reason for pressure relief in cone crushers

The main reasons for pressure relief in cone crushers include material quality, feed particle size, equipment wear, improper operation, main valve leakage, and excessively long operation time of the electric control release valve.
Material quality: When there are many impurities in the crushed material, such as soil, stones, etc., these impurities may increase the operating resistance of the cone crusher, leading to pressure relief.
Feed particle size: Excessive feed particle size is another important reason for pressure relief in cone crushers. When the material particles are too large, the pressure inside the crushing chamber will rapidly increase, causing the equipment to experience pressure relief.
Equipment wear: Over time, the internal components of the cone crusher, such as bearings and liners, will gradually wear out, which will lead to a decrease in equipment efficiency and an increase in the possibility of pressure relief.
Improper operation: Improper operation by operators is also one of the reasons for pressure relief in cone crushers. For example, during operation, feeding speed that is too fast or too slow may cause equipment to experience pressure relief.
Main valve leakage: The main valve installed below the hydraulic cylinder completes the rapid descent of the moving cone during overload, providing protection. Due to long-term use, the fatigue of the spring inside the main valve or the presence of dirt in the hydraulic oil can cause a decrease in the set pressure of the main valve or leakage due to loose valve closure, resulting in a large amount of oil return to the hydraulic system and rapid spindle descent.
The action time of the electronic control release valve is too long: When there is excessive iron or instantaneous overload, the action time of the pressure relief valve is too long to better protect the cone crusher from damage.
These factors may all lead to pressure relief during the operation of the cone crusher, affecting the normal operation and production efficiency of the equipment.
